Favorite memory with SFN: hey sloots! Wow it’s such an honor to be posted on the gram :) I love being here. Fave memory would probably be when we were in Amsterdam. Meet SFN Member Maya Tanaka Allwardt (@mayaki_tanaka)!
SFN Member Since: 2023
Favorite Moment in SFN: Going to Amsterdam to perform at boom!! particularly that one night we were all super sober and laid outside in a big blanket pile stargazing.
What you’re looking forward to at SFN 30: Hanging out with/meeting SFN alumni!
Other places to see you perform: You can see me as Little Sally in Urinetown at THEO, or Rudolph Runs Wild at Second City!
Final Thoughts: A runner up to my favorite moment in SFN is when we were in LA and Jonathan Lee-Rey artistic director of Stir Friday Night made us super late to the airport (it really wasn’t his fault but he was driving so for the sake of the story it is) and we ended up on the airport shuttle 15 minutes INTO BOARDING and we were all sprinting to catch the flight in time. We all made it except for Jonathan (because he had to check the SFN suitcase but for the sake of the story he just didn’t have enough pep in his step) and he had to wait 5 hours for the next flight back to Chicago. BUT because of that, @theheathermari got to have a window seat and @freddie_powpow ‘s crane game plush toy got to have its own seat on the plane, so we were all super thankful for Lee-Rey that day.

Two nights of unforgettable comedy from Chicago’s longest-running AAPI comedy team!

Final Thoughts: How long can this final thoughts section be? Is there a character limit for Instagram posts? How many thoughts are too many thoughts? I’ll keep rambling until im cut off, I suppose. Will I die alone? Why am I not great at texting? I should elaborate more. Do other people choose which m&m’s to eat based on what’s there or what’s left? I eat them until there’s one of each color left and then decide what color palette I’m currently feeling like and eliminate one by one. Haribo gummy bears’s green color is strawberry and that’s odd. I used to eat a lot of trolli gummy octopuses (octopi?) when I was younger, but I don’t really see them in stores. I’m just vamping now because I am filling space. Space: the final frontier, these are the voyages if the starship enterprise... ahh, I almost put cottages instead of voyages, it has been corrected. A cottage sounds nice. Have a cottage in the city with some yard, maybe on a roof. Roof cottage! With grand bridges to other roof cottages throughout the city. Sunshine galore, but maybe overly windy depending on the elevation. And lightning dangers?! Oh, just so you know, I chose this song to be directed at this monologue, in preemptive anticipation of possible feelings. Anyway, congratulations if you’ve read this far. You’re a real one. I was tempted to put something inappropriate in the middle of this, but I didn’t (or did I? Who’s checking?). So to reward you for reading this word, I’ll leave you with more uselessness: if you microwave a grape with the skin on, it’ll create some plasma (I will not take responsibility for damages). Thank you and see you at the 30th (please)!

Meet SFN Member and Director of Digital Content: Ali Khan (@khantheclown)!
SFN Member Since: 2022
Favorite Moment in SFN: causing general mischief; being the constant source of @jontheerey’s migraines and Amsterdam.
What you’re looking forward to at SFN 30: Finding a new and creative way to stress dear leader @jontheerey out, spike his blood pressure, give him palpitations or lacing the brownies at the afterparty with psilocybin so Lee-Rey trips balls.
Other places to see you perform or just around if there isn’t anything rn: Find me at @jontheerey’s nightmares, hiding under his bed, or in his closet. And @birdlady.io
Final Thoughts: I will ensure that I live rent free in @jontheerey’s head for the rest of our days. I will make it my mission in life to ensure he has no peace.
